Medical helicopter called for reported attempted suicide at Allegheny Township juvenile treatment center
A teenage girl was reportedly “found hanging” Wednesday evening, June 25, at the Western PA Child Care juvenile treatment center in Allegheny Township.
Butler County Emergency Services dispatch requested the Eau Claire Volunteer Fire Department and Emlenton Area Ambulance Service to the parking lot of the Dakota Drive facility.
A medical helicopter was also requested to the scene around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday and reportedly transported the girl to the hospital.
The girl was “breathing but unresponsive” after being cut down.’
No further details on the child’s status were immediately available.
