Amy Joy Sallmen, 51, of Butler, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, June 22, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital Emergency Department.

Born Jan. 20, 1975, in Butler, she was the beloved daughter of the late Shirley Jean Barraclough Jones.

She lived a relaxed life and enjoyed playing games on her phone. She cherished her companionship with her dog, Princess, and her cat, Tabby.

Amy is survived by her son, Tyler Sallmen, of Renfrew; her sister, Melissa (George Jr.) Burr, of Butler; nephew, Dallyse Burr; nieces, Trynity Burr and Brandi (Josiah) Jacobson; aunts, Mary Lou (Anthony) Grampus, Donna Braden and Carol (Wayne) Fassinger; uncle, Kevin (Tina) Barraclough; and numerous cousins.

In addition to her mom, Shirley, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Mary Barraclough; and her uncle, John Barraclough.
