Kathryn Marian Ziegler, formerly of West Sunbury but most recently Palm Coast, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026. She passed away peacefully at home.

Born April 17, 1933, in Saxonburg, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Zora Belle “Dolly” (Ferree) Walters.

Kathryn retired from Vocational and Psychological Services in 2009 after serving as the administrative assistant to the doctors for nearly 10 years.

She was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Saxonburg, as well as held a dual membership at Rider Lutheran Church in West Sunbury. Kathryn served in many capacities of the church throughout her life, from teaching Sunday school and participating in the women’s circles to singing in the choir for nearly 50 years.

Surviving are her children, Carole Cole (Mark Ricchi), of Chambersburg, Laurel Smith (Don Turney), of Tallmadge, Ohio, Tom Bricker, of Butler, Michelle (Bob) Freehling, of Saxonburg, and Stacey (Marc) Konopa, of Palm Coast, Fla.; grandchildren, Donald Cole, Hope Hawks, Dawn (Greg) Toy, Chandra (Gary) Holback, David Smith (Todd Murdock), Derek (Dana) Cavaliero and Jared (Haley) Cavaliero; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth McMurray, of Youngstown, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Ziegler, who passed away July 3, 2025; three brothers, Adam Clyde Walters, Clifford Walters and Herbert Walters; and her sister, Agnes Gerner.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2026, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg with Jeannine Sanford, S.T., St. Luke’s associate minister, and Diane Petrak, lay worship leader, of Rider Lutheran Church, officiating. Friends and family will be received at 10:30 a.m. in the north narthex of St. Luke’s prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church Ministry Fund, P.O. Box 187, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, PA 16056.
