One killed in crash at Oneida Valley Road intersection in Venango Township
One person has died following a collision between a car and a flatbed in Venango Township on Friday, June 12.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Oneida Valley Road and Woods Road, and was first reported shortly before 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Butler County Emergency dispatch reports indicated that at least one person was entrapped as a result of the crash.
According to a Butler County Emergency Services dispatcher, two medical helicopters were requested to the scene, but both were canceled.
Dispatch reports indicate that resuscitation efforts took place, but were halted around 6 p.m.
It is currently unknown whether any other individuals sustained injuries or required hospitalization as a result of the crash.
Superior Ambulance, Emlenton Area Ambulance Service, the Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department, the Eau Claire Volunteer Fire Department, and the North Washington Volunteer Fire Department all assisted in the emergency response. A Pennsylvania State Police unit was also dispatched to the scene.
As of 6:45 p.m. Friday, Oneida Valley Road is closed about a half mile south of Woods Road.
