Paul G. Kollinger, 79, of Penn Township, Butler, formerly of Mars, passed away Monday afternoon, June 8, 2026, at UPMC Passavant-McCandless Hospital.

Born in Pittsburgh on July 16, 1946, he was the son of the late Peter and Anna Bubash Kollinger.

He was a 1964 graduate of North Catholic High School and attended Robert Morris College.

He had served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and joined the U.S. Army Reserve following his discharge from the Marines. He was a social member of Mars VFW Post 7505 and West Sunbury American Legion Post 243.

Paul had been a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service on the North Side.

He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Saxonburg.

He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and spending time at camp. He loved supporting his grandsons at Butler High School baseball and football games.

Surviving are his wife, Marjorie J. Conely, whom he married Aug. 26, 1967; his sons, Mark B. Kollinger, of Butler, and John D. Kollinger (Kristie), of Meridian; two grandsons, Noah and Jacob; a brother, Richard Kollinger (Betty Lou), of West Deer; and two sisters, Rose Bushofsky, of Pinehurst, N.C., and Mary Hafner, of Ashville, N.C.

He was preceded in death by a son, Paul Kollinger Jr., who passed away in 1988; and by a brother, John Kollinger.

The family would like to thank the staff at ECCM Palliative Care Team in Wexford, Butler VA Health Center and UPMC doctors and staff.

KOLLINGER — Friends of Paul G. Kollinger, who died Monday, June 8, 2026, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, June 12, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

A worship service will follow at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 387 W. Main St., Saxonburg, with the Rev. Robert Keller and Associate Pastor Jeannine Sanford officiating.
