Richard T. “Ricky” Anderson, 73, of Slippery Rock, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026, at AHN Wexford.

Ricky was born Dec. 24, 1952, to Richard “Punk” Anderson and Helen Dollman Anderson in Butler.

He graduated from Moniteau High School in 1972. Ricky worked with his mother and uncle, Gary McDougall, the owners of the Camelot restaurant in Slippery Rock when it opened in August 1974. He did various jobs throughout the years until his health forced him to retire.

He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially of the Steelers. For a while in his younger years, he sold sports memorabilia at the Camelot. He was one of the kindest people in the world. He was always ready to talk sports with anyone. Ricky loved spending time with his dogs, Sheba and Spirit.

Ricky is survived by his uncle, Gary “Giggy” McDougall (with whom he made his home, and who was his caregiver); aunt, Helen Dollman; half siblings, Leslie Miller, Jackie (Jay) Vaughn and Tim (Gemma) Anderson; beloved nephews, Landon and Kameryn; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.

ANDERSON — The family of Richard “Ricky” T. Anderson, who died Sunday, June 7, 2026, will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, with Pastor Jim Lewis officiating.

Interment will take place at West Sunbury Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Butler County Humane Society.
