The Slippery Rock University Council of Trustees named Joshua Young its new chairman at its Friday, June 5, meeting.

Young succeeds Angèle Stoebener, who served two terms as chair and will remain on the council. Young previously served as council chairman from 2010-12 and currently serves as president of the board of commissioners of Caln Township in Chester County.

Other new officers include Vice Chairman Alfonso Angelucci and Secretary Alex Momyer.
