VA Butler Health Care System will be hosting its third annual “veteran appreciation day” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center, 353 N. Duffy Road, Center Township.

Veterans, service members, families and caregivers are invited to attend the day, which will feature free food, activities, a car cruise, information on VA programs and more. The event will also feature a special “welcome home” for Desert Storm veterans and their families.

In honor of America’s 250th birthday and the Veterans Health Administration’s 80th birthday, attendees are encouraged to wear red, white and blue attire. A large “happy birthday” poster will be available for everyone to sign.

Eligible veterans not currently enrolled in VA health care can begin the enrollment process during the event by bringing a copy of their DD214. Additional eligibility information is available at www.va.gov/health-care/eligibility or by calling Butler VA’s enrollment team at 800-362-8262.
