Dorothy E. Delp, 100, of Mars, formerly of Cranberry Township and Avalon, Pa., passed away Sunday morning, May 17, 2026, at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Bellevue, Pa., on Feb. 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Paul A. and Edith Glasser Erdner.

Dorothy was the co-owner of Avalon Beer Distributor, which she and her husband operated for 32 years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Avalon and most recently St. John Lutheran Church in Mars.

She was the wife of the late Robert H. Delp, whom she married July 23, 1948, and who died Nov. 28, 2011; mother of Christine Bernett (James), of Economy Borough, Cindy Havko (Edward), of Spokane, Wash., Greg E. Delp (Kim), of Economy Borough and the late Gary R. Delp; grandmother of Aaron, Allison, Mitchell, Jennifer, Jamie, Michael, Abigail, Robert, Nathan and Harper; great-grandmother of Hanna, Molly, Lana, Benjamin, Maddie and Ryan; and aunt of nieces and nephews.

The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Baacke, Edith Munk, Margaret Diroll, Anna Deckenbach and Sophia Pike; and by her brothers, Paul, Joe, John and Ed Erdner.

DELP — Friends of Dorothy E. Delp, who died Sunday, May 17, 2026, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Katie McNeal, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, officiating.

Burial will be in North Avalon Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
