The remains of a Kittanning man who was last seen May 12 were found over the weekend in the Allegheny River, according to Armstrong County Coroner Bryan K. Myers.

Andrew Fornell’s remains were found Saturday, May 16, in the Allegheny River in Manor Township, Armstrong County.

He was last seen leaving his home in Kittanning wearing tan jeans, a dark gray hoodie and carrying an old backpack, according to Kittanning police.

State police in Kittanning and Myers’ office are investigating.
