East Butler man on e-bike struck from behind by driver
An 33-year-old East Butler man on an e-bike was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by an 84-year-old Butler man Friday, May 15, on North Main Street Extension, according to Butler Township police.
Antonio Cavallero, 33, was stopped to make a left turn near the intersection of North Main Street Extension and Cedar Road when he was struck around 10 p.m. by Charles Giltenboth, of Butler, driving a Chevrolet Malibu.
Police said Cavallero flew off his bike and struck the car’s windshield before rolling over the car and landing back on the street.
Cavallero sustained injuries to his head and leg and was transported to Allegheny General Hospital. Giltenboth was uninjured.
Butler Ambulance Service, Butler police, Butler Bureau of Fire and Butler Township Volunteer Fire District assisted.
