Judge stops Blake Lively from adding more filings after ‘It Ends with Us’ settlement
NEW YORK — A week after Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni settled their “It Ends with Us” legal battle, averting a trial that would have started next week, a federal New York judge has denied Lively’s bid to offer up more filings and information in the never-ending case.
Judge Lewis J. Liman denied the 38-year-old “Gossip Girl” star’s request to file additional briefs and offer further information in the case before he decides whether she’s entitled to legal fees or damages, according to court documents first obtained by TMZ.
The New York Daily News has reached out to lawyers for both actors.
Lively sued her “It Ends with Us” director and co-star Baldoni in December 2024 for sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign, claims denied by Baldoni and those associated with his production company, Wayfarer Studios. Baldoni filed a since-tossed $400 million defamation suit against Lively’s camp, for which she says she’s entitled to recoup said fees and damages.
Liman previously tossed Baldoni’s defamation suit — as well as his $250 million libel lawsuit over The New York Times’ coverage of Lively’s allegations — and last month, also dismissed 10 of Lively’s 13 claims, including those alleging harassment.
The remaining three claims, including retaliation, were supposed to be heard at a trial, starting May 18. That is, until Lively and the Wayfarer parties — which, for the purposes of the case, no longer included Baldoni — announced in a joint statement May 5 that they had reached a settlement.
The deal, in which no money was awarded, “ended once and for all the fiction that Ms. Lively ‘fabricated’ claims of sexual harassment and retaliation,” the statement read.
Per Lively’s legal team, the Wayfarer parties also agreed to waive “their right to appeal.”
It’s unclear whether Liman’s latest ruling has any bearing on Lively’s attempt to recover those attorney’s fees and damages in California, where a new law could entitle her to the monetary award she’s seeking.

NEW YORK — Taylor Swift did in fact walk Cornelia Street again — or very near there, when she and her family enjoyed a night out on the town Monday in the West Village.
Security and fans watched as the “Cornelia Street” crooner, 36, wearing a short black and glittery silver dress, walked into The Eighty Six, with mom Andrea on her arm, as well as dad Scott and brother Austin in tow, according to footage and photos published by TMZ.
The Grammy winner’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, did not appear to be in attendance with his future wife and in-laws, in what may have been a belated Mother’s Day celebration.
The sighting comes nearly a month to the day before one of the rumored Swift-Kelce wedding dates swirling. She and the Super Bowl champ, also 36, are reportedly set to say “I do” at Ocean House, near her $18 million Rhode Island mansion, which sources previously told Us Weekly will be on Saturday, June 13. However, Entertainment Tonight sources say the nuptials are set for July 3 in New York City.
Swift has famously hosted her celebrity friends like Selena Gomez, Haim and Blake Lively at her Rhode Island digs for Fourth of July in years past. However, she also keeps a home in Tribeca.

NEW YORK — From the House of Mouse to the beach — Hilary Duff’s comeback now includes a coveted cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue.
The magazine revealed Tuesday that the Disney Channel alum, 38, was photographed in South Caicos as one of four cover models for the 2026 issue, along with influencer Alix Earle, Emmy winner Tiffany Haddish and model Nicole Williams English.
“Our four cover models … redefine what you might expect from the SI Swimsuit Issue, and that’s exactly what makes this moment so exciting,” editor-in-chief MJ Day wrote in the issue’s Editor’s Letter. The goal is never sameness. It’s the opposite. These women possess relevance, resilience and range that extend far beyond what the world expects of them.”
Day praised the “Lizzie McGuire” star’s career trajectory as “its own form of quiet rebellion, in which she continues to reinvent herself, leaning into each season with confidence, humor and grace.”
This latest milestone follows the February release of “luck … or something,” Duff’s first album in over a decade, and comes just ahead of her largely sold out world tour, kicking off May 22 in Las Vegas.
The four women gracing this year’s Swimsuit Issue cover, as well as the 30 featured within the issue, show “there is no single blueprint for success or happiness,” said Day. “It’s also a reminder that there is no expiration date. No rule book. That evolution looks different for everyone, and that’s exactly what makes it powerful.”
