Woman charged after allegedly assaulting three BMH nursing staff members

A Butler woman was charged with several counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and other charges after police say she assaulted three members of Butler Memorial Hospital’s nursing staff.

Kathy Lee White, 19, was charged with three counts of felony aggravated assault, three misdemeanor counts of simple assault, a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct and three summary counts of harassment following an incident at the hospital Jan. 24, 2026.

Butler Township police said they arrived at the hospital, where staff told them White assaulted three nurses while being treated.

A nurse told police White ran out of the room. When she followed, White pulled her hair and punched her in the head four or five times, police said.

A second nurse said they saw the commotion and tried to help restrain White. White grabbed and twisted his arm and attempted to kick him in the ribs, police said.

A third nurse told police White punched her in the chest while she was attempting to calm White down.

Police said all injuries were minor and did not require medical attention.

The case has been assigned to District Judge Kevin O’Donnell. A preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
