A bus carrying Connoquenessing Elementary School students crashed Wednesday morning, April 15, into a tree along Shannon Road.

The crash was reported at about 8:40 a.m. at 207 Shannon Road in Connoquenessing Township. The bus was transporting students to Connoquenessing Elementary School in Butler Area School District when it went off the road, school district superintendent Brian White said.

“All students are being evaluated by EMS before continuing to school,” he said.

As of 9:30 a.m., White said no major injuries had been reported to him, but evaluations were likely still underway.

All parents and guardians were notified, he said.
