Wally Rihel
Wally May Kelly Rihel, 87, of Butler, passed away peacefully, to the words of the 23rd Psalm, Thursday, April 9, 2026, while under the care of Amedisys Hospice.
Born April 19, 1938, in Butler, she was the only child of the late Paul and Flora Molinaro Kelly.
Wally was Protestant by faith. She was a member of AKC and the Butler County Kennel Club. Wally loved traveling to Europe with her friends. She raised, trained and showed many dogs in championship rings with her husband, Art. Wally was also the secretary of Broad Street School in the 1960s. She loved all creatures big and small. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister-in-law, Verna Vargo; her nieces, Edyie Potts and Sandy Selfridge; and her great-nieces and nephews, Steve, Beth, Braeden, Camden and Lauren Bash, Doug, Ben, Mikaela, Paisley, Jon, Galadriel Hassler, and Kian Hess.
In addition to her parents, Wally was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur Rihel; and her beloved cat, Rihley.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the caregivers for their love and tender care at Chicora Medical Center and Amedisys Hospice.
RIHEL — Private arrangements for Wally May Kelly Rihel, who died Thursday, April 9, 2026, were entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wally’s name to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
