After a Friday afternoon fire destroyed a family’s home in Perry Township, Clarion County, the community is seeking to rally around the four people who lost their home.

A GoFundMe for the affected family was shared Saturday morning, April 11, in a Facebook post by Fireproof — East Brady.

“A family lost their home yesterday afternoon in Parker,” Fireproof’s Facebook post said. “These poor children lost everything. If you're able to help, please do!”

Alexis Kriebel, the GoFundMe creator, said her brother Austin, his wife Ashley and their two kids — ages 3 and 4 — lost everything.

“Thankfully, they are safe, but the emotional and financial impact will be overwhelming. They are now facing rebuilding their lives from the bottom up,” Kriebel wrote in the GoFundMe description.

The structure fire was reported around 4:50 p.m. along Stephens Road in Perry Township, according to a dispatcher with Clarion County’s 911 center.

Parker City, Perry Township, Callensburg, Rimersburg and Sligo fire departments responded alongside Emlenton Area Ambulance Service.

The scene was cleared at 8:25 p.m. — over three and a half hours after crews were first called to the fire.

The GoFundMe, “Support for Austin, Ashley, Auggie, and Bella,” raised $985 toward a $2,000 goal as of Sunday afternoon.
