M. ‘Suzie’ Ferguson

Ferguson

Martha Suzanne “Suzie” Hamil Ferguson, 83, of Boyers, passed away at Grove Manor nursing home on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

Born in Hilliards, Butler County, on Nov. 12, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Josephine A. (Stevens) Hamil.

On Aug. 22, 1964, she married Bruce Eugene Ferguson, who preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 2015.

Suzie had many passions and was a devoted animal lover. She spent much of her time tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, watching classic Westerns, and taking great joy in her unique collection of shot glasses gathered over the years. She had a deep appreciation for Native American culture and wolves, but her true joy was found in the kitchen. For Suzie, cooking was her way of expressing love for her family and friends. A lifelong animal lover, she was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Duke, who was her faithful companion for many years.

Survivors include her son, Bruce (Carrie) Ferguson Jr., of Boyers.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Evans; and her brother, Ed Hamil.
