George William Peffer, 82, of Lancaster Township, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.

Born Nov. 14, 1943, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Charles William Peffer and Elizabeth “Betty” Boots Peffer.

George was a member of Unionville United Methodist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, gardening and camping in the mountains. George enjoyed restoring cars for 60 years, and he mainly worked at Jim’s Auto Body Shop in Zelienople.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 62 years, Karen Lee Weigel Peffer, whom he married Aug. 16, 1963; his sons, Keith (Nicole) Peffer and Brian (Kirsten) Peffer; his grandchildren, Kyle (Megan) Peffer and Andrew Peffer; and his sister, Gayle (Jack) Wittman.

PEFFER — Private funeral arrangements for George William Peffer, who died Tuesday, March 31, 2026, were entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
