Ryan Gloyer Middle School recognized at state conference

Administrators and teachers from Ryan Gloyer Middle School earned multiple honors at the Pennsylvania Association for Middle Level Education State Conference in February.

Eighth-grader Rex Woodard received the Joan Jarrett Student Award. Health teacher Ashlyn Pry was recognized for the Learning to Teach & Teaching to Learn: Student Teacher Recognition Award. Learning Support teacher Katie Wisniewski earned the association’s Promising Practitioners Award: New Teacher Award.

Ryan Gloyer Middle School also celebrated its fifth redesignation as a Pennsylvania Don Eichhorn Schools: Schools to Watch, a program highlighting middle schools that exemplify academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity and strong organizational structures and processes.

“This recognition is especially meaningful, as it reflects our deep commitment to middle-level education, continuous growth and the pursuit of excellence,” said Trisha Butschle, principal of the middle school.
