James H. McCormick Jr., 77, of Harmony, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026.

Born on March 22, 1949, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late James H. Sr. and Peggy (Anderson) McCormick.

Jim was a member of the Northbridge Community Church in Cranberry Township. He was a 1968 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Harmony Lodge No. 429. Jim worked with the Harmony Fire District for over 20 years. He was also on the Harmony Borough Council. Jim was a self-employed carpet installer and founded McCormick Carpet Installation. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and pickler. He was fondly called “Pickle Jim” for his passion for making pickles. Jim loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Linda (Finley) McCormick, whom he married Jan. 7, 1984; his children, Scott (Kimberly) McCormick, Kristen (Don) Biertempfel, Erin (Nate) McCormick, Rachel Foster and Adam (Maria) Foster; his grandchildren, Sydney, Tyler, Josie, Kyla, Cate, Jay, Ash, Cameron and Colton; and his siblings, Arthur (Barbara) McCormick, Dolores McCormick, Karen McCormick, Pamela McCormick and Patricia McCormick.

MCCORMICK — Family and friends of James H. McCormick Jr., who died Sunday, March 29, 2026, will be received from 4 p.m. until the funeral service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with Pastor Jamie Price officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim’s honor to Northbridge Community Church, 216 Mystic Pine Trail, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.
