Experience the North Country Trail at two April events organized by the Butler County chapter of the North Country Trail Association.

There will be a meeting Wednesday, April 8, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, Brady Township. Upcoming hikes and trail maintenance opportunities will be discussed.

There will be an ice cream hike at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at Holly Sundae Ice Cream Parlor, 439 Washington St., Parker. This will be a hike on a 4-mile section of the North Country Trail. A shuttle will be available half way on the trail.

After the hike, participants can stay for an ice cream treat and lunch.
