Charles Eugene “Gene” Boyle, 81, of Adams Township, passed away peacefully Friday, April 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born Aug. 2, 1944, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Charles and Alice Boyle.

In 1967, Gene married the love of his life, Jean (Watenpool), with whom he shared a beautiful partnership that lasted nearly 59 years. He was the loving father of Brian (Cheryl) Boyle, Lynn (Brian) McKinney and Amy (Paul) Omasits; proud grandfather of Shane, Ciara, Maura, Colin, Ava, Andrew and Ella; and great-grandfather of Leah and Nora. He was affectionately known as “Pap” to his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, John “Jack” Boyle, Carole Rudolchick and Karen Vandevort.

Gene will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his strong sense of faith and his commitment to his community. He was a proud member of the Irish Catholic fraternal organization, the Knights of Equity, and was actively involved in his parish and charitable endeavors.

BOYLE — Friends of Charles Eugene “Gene” Boyle, who died Friday, April 3, 2026, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME of Cranberry Township.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, at St. Kilian Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ladies of Charity at St. Mark the Evangelist or the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
