Bonnie Matonak
Born on June 28, 1959, Bonnie Matonak was a woman whose life was defined by love, faith and quiet kindness.
She spent most of her life in Butler before moving to Gibsonia three years ago, where she continued to share her warmth and gentle spirit with everyone around her.
Bonnie was the beloved wife of Jimmy Matonak and a devoted mother to her four children, Dawn Henricks (Jason), Joshua Matonak (Dana), Kelly Tysk (Josh) and Joel Matonak (Krista). She was a proud and deeply cherished grandmother to fifteen grandchildren, Dawson, Jayden, Hallie, Reese, Ivy, Jia, Rowan, Luke, Molly, Adaleigh, Landon, Beckett, Emmalyn, MaKenna and Jaelle, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
She is also survived by her loving mother, Tootie Bowers, and her sisters, Sue Conrad and Carol Lenhart. Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Bob Bowers, and her grandchild, Reese.
Bonnie will be remembered as a loving wife, a wonderfully patient mother, a caring sister, a devoted grandmother and a selfless friend. She had a quiet spirit, often gentle and humble, yet filled with a playful sense of humor that could brighten any moment. Her smile was constant, her heart generous and she always put others before herself.
She found joy in crafting, collecting little treasures and, most of all, in loving her family. Her faith in her Lord and Savior was a guiding light in her life reflected in the grace, compassion and kindness she showed to everyone she met.
Bonnie’s life was a beautiful example of love in action: steady, faithful and true. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
