Is this what a president should say about a veteran, a civil servant, who proudly worked in the public workforce for decades?

I feel the president’s response is making the U.S. look like we have no moral compass, no empathy. I asked my members of Congress to comment about this response and doubt I will hear back.

Decency has left the country.
