Karen Fisher
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Karen Lorrainne (Moser) Fisher, of Cabot, at the age of 83. She passed peacefully from our world to her forever heavenly home on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Concordia of Cabot, leaving behind her loving husband of 49 years, William Lee Fisher.
Karen was born Dec. 26, 1942, in Smithfield, Pa., to Homer and Ruth (Clawson) Moser. Karen was a loving wife, sister, parent and friend who enjoyed family, her faith, home, gardening, baking (especially bread-baking) and quilting. Karen was highly-skilled at quilting and creating quilting projects on her sewing machine and she was a member of several quilting groups in North Carolina and Florida.
After graduating from Fairchance-Georges Township High School in 1960, she attended West Liberty College and then graduated from Uniontown Business School. Her talents as a seamstress provided a steppingstone into the job market at Jaffe’s bridal department in Butler. Karen developed her professional skills over a span of 30 years during her employment with Heckett Engineering and ServiStar. It was during her employment with ServiStar that she met her husband, William Fisher.
After retirement, she and William enjoyed vacationing in warmer climates. They eventually relocated and established new residences in places such as Southern Shores, N.C., Punta Gorda, Fla., and Shell Point Retirement Community in Fort Myers, Fla. In 2023, they returned to Pennsylvania to make their final home at Concordia Retirement Community.
Karen is survived by her husband, William; her two children, Kelly (Leo) Stefanacci, of Zelienople, and David Fisher, of Seattle, Wash.; her two granddaughters, Gianna Stefanacci and Carmen Stefanacci, both of Zelienople; her sister, Marlene Cygan, of Butler; her brother, George Moser, of Gettysburg, Pa.; in addition to her nieces, nephews and friends. Karen also leaves behind her loving pet companion, Tina, who will miss her love and treats.
The family extends their appreciation and gratitude to all caregivers and to all who were so kind during this difficult time.
