Valencia man charged with stalking Middlesex Township woman

A Valencia man was charged with stalking after police said he stuck five sticky notes and miscellaneous keys to a woman’s front door in the early hours of the morning.

Albert Christian McKelvey, 62, was charged March 18 by Middlesex Township police with misdemeanor stalking, harassment and trespass following incidents between March 14 and 18.

Police said McKelvey was told March 14 not to return to the woman’s home after taking her packages. He continued to call the woman multiple times that night and left voicemails about how they’re meant to be together.

Police said early next morning, McKelvey went to her home and posted the sticky notes and keys. Police said the sticky notes were addressed to the woman from “The Real Deal.”

The woman also told police she had seen McKelvey on her property at night through security cameras. She said on March 13, she saw McKelvey in her backyard. The same night, police said a random call was made to the woman’s gas company explaining there was a leak in her propane she had not turned on in two years.

Police said McKelvey has also pounded on the woman’s door and refused to leave until he talked to the woman, and he has requested to speak with her son.

McKelvey waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday, March 31. His formal arraignment is scheduled for 1 p.m. May 19 in Butler County Common Pleas Court.
