Mars high school’s Mars Indoor Percussion and Mars Area Winterguard teams competed in the 2026 Three Rivers Winter Ensemble Association Championships on March 28 at Kiski Area High School.

Mars Indoor Percussion earned third place with a score of 85.775 in the Percussion Scholastic A competition, earning high honors for visual effect. The team presented its show, “Standing at The Wall,” which follows the people of East Berlin living under silence, separation and propaganda.

Mars Area Winterguard took fourth place with a score of 83.940, along with high honors for music, in the Scholastic A competition for its show, “Missed Calls,” which discusses how one simple phone call can make a difference.
