Family Pathways recognizing Child Abuse Prevention Month
Family Pathways in Butler County is seeking to promote prevention, education and resources that help children grow up in safe and nurturing environments during April, which is recognized nationally as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Throughout the month, residents may notice blue pinwheel displays placed around the community in partnership with Family Pathways. The pinwheel is the national symbol for child abuse prevention and represents the joyful and healthy childhood every child deserves.
Community members are also encouraged to participate in Wear Blue Day on the first Friday of April, a national awareness event that invites individuals, businesses and organizations to wear blue in support of children and families.
Family Pathways works with Butler County Children and Youth Services and other partners to provide programs, education and support to reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect. Family Pathways aims to strengthen families and connect parents and caregivers with resources promoting healthy child development.
