Crash on Route 8 slows down traffic Tuesday morning
BUTLER TWP — Emergency crews responded to a vehicle versus tractor trailer crash the morning of Tuesday, March 31 at the intersection of Route 8 and Litman Road in Butler Township.
Just after 8:30 a.m., a tractor trailer was traveling north on Route 8 when a car traveling the south bound lane “for some reason” veered off into the north bound lane, striking the semi, Sgt. Jim Sasse with Butler Township police said.
Both vehicles involved came to rest at the intersection of Route 8 and Litman Road.
Sasse said the driver of the car suffered minor injuries, but both drivers refused medical treatment.
Route 8 was closed for a brief time after crews initially arrived to the scene, but traffic resumed shortly afterward.
The scene was cleared by 9:30 a.m.
Butler Township police, Pennsylvania State Police and Butler Township Volunteer Fire District were among those that responded to the scene.
