Police reports as of March 23

The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:

Butler Twp

March 15 — Joshua Emory West, 22, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a March 15 incident. Police said West punched a woman in the head.

March 16 — Joseph Charles Staerk, 60, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a March 13 crash. Police said Staerk had a blood alcohol content of 0.105%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.

Saxonburg

March 16 — Bryant Eduard Liebler, 29, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Jan. 10 crash in Summit Township. Police said Liebler had a blood alcohol content of 0.198%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.

State police, Butler

March 11 — Daniel David Swain, 31, of Slippery Rock, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession, drug paraphernalia possession and counterfeit document possession following a March 6 traffic stop in Franklin Township. Police said Swain had an invalid license plate and a glass jar of suspected marijuana.

March 16 — Mylan Marie Green, 42, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a March 12 incident in Butler. Police said Green had a prescription for another person and a metal crack pipe.

March 16 — Aaron J. Banks, 40, of Karns City, was charged with misdemeanor operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock following a March 12 traffic stop in Concord Township. Police said Banks was driving a vehicle without an ignition interlock.

March 16 — Jacob Lorne Hurrelbrink, 41, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor controlled substance possession following a March 14 traffic stop in Summit Township. Police said Hurrelbrink had about eight grams of suspected cocaine.

March 16 — Levi Allen Wissinger, 19, of Chicora, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a March 2 crash in Fairview Township. Police said Wissinger had a blood alcohol content of 0.193%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
