“Pi Day” — 3.14 — fell on Saturday this year, so Mars Area Elementary School fourth-graders instead embraced mathematics activities Wednesday, March 18.
Pre-service teacher (pre K-4) candidates in Butler County Community College’s Mathematics for Teacher Education II class lead fourth-graders through various stations focused on discovering the mathematical constant pi (3.14159265359 …) and how the constant relates to art, mathematics, writing and more.
