A Butler man is accused of pushing a security guard’s head into a wall multiple times at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Cory T. Eichert, 36, was charged Sunday, March 15, by Butler Township police with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor simple assault following a reported assault on Saturday.

Police said they responded to the hospital and met with an employee of Allied Security. The employee said he was requested to the emergency department for an uncooperative patient.

When the employee went to calm Eichert, police said Eichert grabbed the employee and pushed his head into a wall three times.

Police said the employee then received treatment for his injuries, and another security guard witnessed the assault.

Eichert’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. April 2 before District Judge Kevin O’Donnell.
