Butler grad Maier, Mars’ Isaacs earn all-conference honors; Moniteau’s Reott swims in nationals: College roundup

Highlights and updates from the past few weeks:

Maier, Isaacs earn all-conference honors

Butler grad and Saint Vincent women’s basketball senior Makenna Maier was named second team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference last week. She led the Bearcats (21-7, 14-2 PAC) with 12.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, and shot better than 40% from the field and from 3-point territory. They made the conference championship game and lost to Washington & Jefferson 64-43.

Mars grad Annalyn Isaacs earned third-team All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference honors this season with Mount Aloysius women’s basketball. Isaacs, a junior, averaged 10.4 points per game and made 61 3-pointers at an AMCC-best 39.6% clip. The team went 10-16 (8-8 AMCC).

Moniteau swimming grad makes NCAAs

Moniteau grad Katelyn Reott, a junior on the Edinboro swim team, finished 22nd in qualifying (23.31) in the 50-yard freestyle, 25th in the 100 back (56.42) and 18th in the 100 free (50.80) in the NCAA Division II Swimming Championships in Evansville, In. At the PSAC Swimming Championships, Reott broke the school record in the 100 free (50.58) and 100 back (55.70), finishing first and second, respectively, and helped the 200-medley relay team to a school record 1:43.62 to finish second and the 200 free relay to gold in 1:33.97.
