Walter Peth
Walter Peth, 71, of Chicora, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026.
He was born in Butler on Sept. 7, 1954, son of the late Robert and Erla (McCandless) Peth.
Walter worked at Pullman until their closure and then for Connoquenessing Township for the rest of his career.
Walter was known for being a great father and grandfather. He was funny and hardworking. He enjoyed hunting, turkey shoots, fishing, camping and gardening. Walter was the vice president of Conway Sportsman’s Club.
Walter was the beloved husband of the late Frances (Rearick) Peth, from their marriage in 1973, until her passing; father of Larry, Jobie and Bob (Amber) Peth; brother of Ronald (Elaine) Peth, Linda Hopper and Sherry Pennington; grandfather of Cameron, Mckenzie, Dustin, Chase and Easton; and great-grandfather of Rayden. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Beverly Peth.
Along with his parents and wife, Walter was preceded in death by his brother, Larry.
PETH — All services for Walter Peth, who died Thursday, March 12, 2026, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
Burial will be held privately at Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery.
