Pittsburgh police detective of Adams Township charged in bar fight

A Pittsburgh police detective who lives in Butler County is charged with felony aggravated assault following a bar fight he was involved in while off duty.

Richard L. Dilimone Jr., 36, of Adams Township, was charged Wednesday, March 11, by Pleasant Hills police after security footage allegedly shows Dilimone striking a patron of Pleasant Bar in Allegheny County in the forehead with a beer bottle.

Police were dispatched to the bar at 1:08 a.m. Feb. 8 for the assault. Police said the victim sustained a large laceration to the forehead and was taken to Baldwin EMS to a hospital.

Dilimone’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. March 25 before District Judge Thomas Miller Jr. He’s represented by attorney Nicole Dominique Nino.
