Bonnilee McClymonds
Bonnilee McClymonds, 104, of Portersville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Trinity Oaks Personal Care Center.
Born in Muddy Creek Township, Butler County, on July 1, 1921, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Carl and Yetta Barkley Scheidemantle.
She married Carl McClymonds on Oct. 18, 1938, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1992.
Bonnie was a very active member of Mountville Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon in her younger years. She had a strong work ethic and was the quintessential farm wife. Bonnie was well-known for her abundant garden that she meticulously tended and she was also well-known for her homemade pies. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and spending time with her family.
Bonnie is survived by her children and their spouses, Eleanor and Richard French, of Harmony, Robert McClymonds, of Ellport, R. Wayne and Molly McClymonds, of South Carolina, Dean and Cathy McClymonds, of Florida, and Karen and Dan Parson Sr., of Portersville; a sister, Edna Brown, of Butler; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, Ronald McClymonds; a granddaughter, Gaye Zingaro; a sister, Mildred Twentier; and three brothers, Carl Scheidemantle, Charles Scheidemantle and LaVerne Scheidemantle.
MCCLYMONDS — Friends of Bonnilee McClymonds, who died Tuesday, March 10, 2026, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 13, at JOSEPH A. TOMON JR. FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport, Pa.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Elija Bombeck, of Mountville Presbyterian Church, as celebrant.
Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bonnie’s name to Mountville Presbyterian Church, 2795 Mountville Road, Portersville, PA 16051.
