Flags to fly at half-staff for slain state trooper
Flags in the commonwealth have been ordered to be flown at half-staff in honor of a state trooper killed in the line of duty Sunday, March 8.
Gov. Josh Shapiro on Monday ordered U.S. and commonwealth flags at all state facilities, public buildings and grounds across Pennsylvania to be flown at half-staff to honor Cpl. Timothy J. O’Connor Jr., who authorities said was shot and killed by a suspect he had pulled over during a traffic stop Sunday night.
The flags shall remain lowered until the date of interment for the officer, which has not yet been announced, according to a news release from Shapiro’s office.
