Gene A. Pelletier, 74, of Bessemer, passed away the morning of Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Haven Convalescent Home.

Born in New Castle on June 11, 1951, Gene was the son of the late James and Dolores Cleevely Pelletier.

On Sept. 12, 1970, Gene married his beloved wife, the former Georgia Miller. Georgia preceded him in death on Dec. 28, 2021.

In the early years, Gene had worked at Youngstown Sheet & Tube as a millwright. He then worked for EQS as a torch operator.

Gene was a car enthusiast and a member of the Twisted Pistons Car Club. He loved his dogs and enjoyed having them with him.

Gene is survived by his son, Gene Pelletier (Sherri); his sister, Joanne Pelletier; two grandchildren, Bruce Pelletier and Jennifer Pelletier; and two great-grandchildren, Brody and Harper.

In addition to his parents and wife, Gene was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Pelletier; and his sister, Myrtle Reider.
