Independence Health System has added a new orthopedic surgeon to its roster at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Anthony Mustovich has been added to the staff, bringing more than a decade of experience as an orthopedic surgeon, specializing in sports-related injuries and joint replacement surgery.
He has a particular interest in the Jiffy procedure, a knee replacement technique designed to preserve muscle and tendon structure, resulting in faster recovery and reduced postoperative pain.
Mustovich obtained his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie and completed a general surgery internship at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Ga.
