This Saturday, meet the cat who rode 100 miles on vehicle’s roof

The cat who traveled 100 miles on the roof of a vehicle will be at the South Butler Community Library this Saturday.

In September, Kittanning resident Margaret Denardo and her husband realized their cat, Ray Ray, had stowed away on their vacation, and the two traveled more than 100 miles before spotting the 8-year old feline on the car roof.

Denardo, who wrote a book based on the experience, will be at the library from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 7, with her therapy cat Ray Ray. Children of all ages can meet Ray Ray and hear about her 100-mile adventure on a car roof.

Photo opportunities and activities will also be available for all. The book, “Ray Ray’s Cattastic Adventure Tails: The Cat Who Wouldn’t Stray,” will also be available for sale and will be signed by the author at the library, 240 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
