Victor Craig
On Feb. 28, 2026, Victor Gordon Craig, 78, of Harrisville, peacefully walked into the arms of our Savior while at his home and with his wife, Nanci, and children by his side, as his pain and suffering ended.
Born in Grove City, April 24, 1947, he was the son to the late Victor Charles and Louise Jane (McKean) Craig. He was raised in Boyers, Pa.
Known as Gordie to family and friends, he attended Moniteau High School. He worked for Adobe Mining Company as a heavy equipment operator and foreman until its closing in 1993. His career also included work as a truck driver and also transporting various trailers throughout the U.S. which allowed him to travel throughout each of the lower 48 states and Canada, as well as vacationing with his wife in Alaska.
Surviving are his loving wife Nanci (Morgan) Craig, whom he married Aug. 8, 1981; his son, Richard Gordon Craig and his favorite daughter in-law, Meghan, of Hobe Sound, Fla.; his daughter, Vicky Michelle Salvucci, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and his daughter, Lynsi Dahn Tarr and son in-law, Robert, of Harrisville; his eight beautiful grandchildren, Kelli (Brandon) Maitland and Richard Craig, of Hobe Sound, Fla., Ashely White, Vincent Salvucci and Jordyn Whitaker, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Joseph (Caitlyn) Whitaker, of San Antonio, Texas, and Emaleigh Tarr and Clayton Tarr, of Harrisville. He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Lexi, James, Nya, Miller and Wesley, all of Florida. Also surviving are his sister, Karen and brother in-law, Melvin Nagy, of Harrisville; his in-laws Stanley and Sally Morgan, of McMurray, Pa.; Alan and Amy Morgan, of Monument, Colo., Sandra and Bill Glenn, of Harrisville, and Karen and John Windisch, of Harrisville; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents he will be greeted in heaven by three sisters, Delores and her husband, Donald Metheny, Shirley and her husband, Thomas Belcher, and Patty Sankey; as well as his two sons in-law, Brett Salvucci and William Whitaker; his father- and mother-in-law, Gomer and Mary Morgan; and his best four-legged friend, Chloe Grace.
The family would like to thank the staff of Butler Memorial Hospital, Concordia Visiting Nurses and Good Samaritan Hospice who so compassionately cared for him, as well as all those who offered prayers and support.
CRAIG — Family of Victor Gordon Craig, who died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, will receive friends and family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 6, at JAMISON MCKINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 117 N. Main Street, Harrisville.
Funeral services will take place at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Pastor Willard Morse officiating.
