Vensel

Eric J. Vensel, 46, of McKees Rocks, passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026.

He was born in Butler on March 15, 1979, to Keith and Joyce (McCullough) Vensel.

Eric graduated from Butler High School in 1997 and honorably served in the U.S. Air Force as an aerospace (Airborne Warning and Control System) crew chief and a maintenance journeyman for four years. He then furthered his education at Western School of Health and Business, where he studied radiology. Eric was employed as an X-ray technician at VA Oakland Hospital and St. Margaret’s Hospital.

Eric was a car collector and enjoyed weightlifting and concert tailgating in his monster truck. He was a member of VFW Post 418 in McKees Rocks. He will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Eric is survived by his parents, Keith and Joyce Vensel; his sister, Anita (Johnny) Shumaker; and his nephew, Kaden Shumaker, whom he loved dearly and they shared many sports conversations. He is also lovingly survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

VENSEL — All services for Eric J. Vensel, who died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
