Barbara Seaton

Seaton

Barbara (Ross) Seaton, 84, of Aliquippa, formerly of Eau Claire, passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, in The Woodlands, Texas.

She was born on Dec. 14, 1941, in Eau Claire, the youngest of four children born to Frank and Elma Ross.

Barb was a woman of remarkable strength and warmth. As postmaster of Eau Claire for many years, she became a beloved fixture in the community, not just for her dedication to her work, but for her genuine care for everyone who walked through the door. A talented musician who played organ and piano, she filled her home with music, laughter and an open door for her children's many friends. After raising her children on her own, she found deep happiness in her marriage to Larry P. Seaton, the love of her life, and together they traveled extensively to visit family and explore the country.

Following the loss of Larry and her daughter, Kimberly McGarvey Noblit, Barb moved to Texas, where she built a new life of service and friendship. She volunteered at St. Luke’s Hospital in Lake Jackson for 15 years and was an active member of the Southern Brazoria Democrats Club. In 2024, she returned to Pennsylvania to be near her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bringing her characteristic warmth and joy to a new generation.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Frank, Clem and Richard Ross; her husband, Larry; and her daughter, Kim.

She is survived by her daughter, Kris, and her wife, Karen, of Aliquippa, with whom she made her home; her son, Matt, and his wife, Lisa, of Vista, Calif.; her son-in-law, Mike Noblit of Grove City; grandchildren, Michael Noblit (Jamie), Samantha Noblit Thauvette (Kyle), Seamus McGarvey and Vivian McGarvey; and great-grandchildren, Caelan and Cullen Noblit and Marlowe and Sawyer Thauvette.
