Hilary Duff tearfully confirmed the has been long estranged from big sister Haylie ahead of the Disney Channel alum’s new album and world tour.

The “Why Not” singer, 38, said on “CBS Mornings” Friday that, “a whole lot of complex family stuff,” inspired multiple songs from her new album, “luck… or something,” specifically her relationships with 41-year-old Haylie and their father.

Duff confirmed that she “really struggled” about whether to include “We Don’t Talk,” as it spotlights “the most lonely part of my existence,” which is “not having my sister in my life at the moment.”

“It’s funny, as a person that exists in the world without my other half, so many people are having that experience,” said Duff, having ultimately decided to share “my truth. … And for me, making a record was just going to be about connection. I was never going to take outside songs from people.”

The “Younger” star found the experience “healing” after having watched people speculate about the fractured relationship, though she doesn’t think it would help if Haylie were to hear the song.

“For everyone that is where I’m sitting, you have to do what … feels good for you,” Duff continued. “It’s taken me a long time to get there. … I don’t know if she’ll hear it. I don’t know how she’ll react to it.”

She also confirmed that “The Optimist” addresses her relationship with her father, who she’s sure loves her, even if “it’s hard for it to feel” like that amid “some of the circumstances.”

“I think it’s really challenging for … one person to have major success in a family,” said Duff. “It’s hard to get back to a place of health. It takes everybody involved to be able to do that.”

She told Glamour in a new cover interview that “just because you’re born into a family doesn’t mean that it always stays together. You can only control your side and your street.”

Former ‘Jersey Shore’ star Snooki says she has cervical cancer

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi said Friday that she has cervical cancer.

The former “Jersey Shore” star said in a video posted to TikTok that a biopsy had revealed the stage one cancer.

“Obviously not the news that I was hoping for,” she said, sitting in her car between medical appointments. “But also not the worst news, just because they caught it so early, thank freaking God.”

She urged her followers to get Pap smears, and said she is likely to have a hysterectomy after her initial treatment.

“So 2026 is not panning out how I wanted it to,” she said.

Polizzi became one of the breakout stars of “Jersey Shore” from its debut on MTV in 2009. She was on the reality show for six seasons and appeared in the later spinoffs “Snooki & JWoww” and “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.”

Now 38, she still lives in New Jersey, has been married for 11 years and has three children.

Barry Manilow postpones tour dates after ‘depressing’ doctor’s visit

NEW YORK — Barry Manilow has decided to postpone the first leg of his upcoming tour following a “very depressing visit” with his surgeon amid his battle against early-stage lung cancer.

In a social media statement shared Friday, 82-year-old Manilow revealed that despite taking to his treadmill three times a day, he was still unable to sing “more than three songs in a row” before having to stop.

Even still, the beloved singer believed he would be well enough to perform his upcoming arena shows — but his medical team shut that down.

Manilow said his surgeon “shook his head” before going on to explain that his lungs just “aren’t ready yet.” He acknowledged the “Mandy” singer was in “great shape considering” his recent diagnosis, but still warned him against doing “the first arena shows.”

“You won’t make it through,” his surgeon warned.

The hitmaker said he wanted to take the stage, but his “body knew what my heart didn’t want to admit: I wasn’t ready.”

As a result, Manilow said he will reschedule his performances between Feb. 27 and March 17. He hopes he’ll be able to continue on with the rest of the tour in April.

This is only the most recent time the “Copacabana” singer has been forced to postpone shows amid his health battles. He previously canceled a series of January concert dates as well as a residency at Westgate Las Vegas, which was set to run from Feb. 12 through 21.
