Pauline Kelly
Pauline Marie Wheeler Kelly, 89, of Slippery Rock, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler.
She was born in Hendersonville, Mercer County, on Jan. 14, 1937, to Curtis Leroy Wheeler and Ruth Lillian Eagles Wheeler.
She married Gerald “Jerry” Kelly, who preceded her in death.
She worked as a switchboard/telephone operator for Bell Telephone from the young age of 18 through her retirement. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed painting, gardening, baking, hosting gatherings and dancing. She was a great cook and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, DuWayne (Barb) Craig, of Harrisville; brother, Dennis Wheeler; three grandchildren, Jimmy, Hannah and Caleb; and great-grandson, Trent.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis, Fred and David.
KELLY — The family of Pauline Marie Wheeler Kelly, who died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time the of service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at the funeral home, led by Pastor Mike Bruno, of ABBA Christian Center.
Interment will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the ABBA Christian Counseling Center.
