‘Highway to History’ being presented in Evans City
Steve Cicero — a former history teacher in Butler Area School District, who is now known as the History Hobo — will lead “Highway to History,” a presentation on Perry Highway, on Monday, Feb. 23, at the Evans City Public Library.
Beginning in West Virginia and heading almost 200 miles north to Erie, Route 19 is connected to every period of U.S. History. Join the library for a visit to “Little” Washington, The Golden Triangle, Zelienople, Harmony, Moraine State Park, Fort LeBoeuf and Erie, and hear many stories of famous people along the way.
The free presentation, sponsored by Evans City Historical Society, begins at 7 p.m. in the community room of the library, 204 S. Jackson St. in Evans City. The library will be closed, but the room can be accessed though the door on the left side of the building or through the museum at the back.
