One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 18, on Route 8 in Butler Township. Butler Township police confirmed the fatality Wednesday night.

The crash happened near the road’s intersection with Decatur Drive.

A woman driving one of the vehicles was initially reportedly “unresponsive” following the crash, which was called into Butler County Emergency Services around 1:50 p.m. Reports at the time indicated she was in “traumatic arrest.”

Dispatch reports said two vehicles on the road were blocking traffic. PennDOT put out a release around 3:30 p.m. saying Route 8 was still closed between Litman and McCalmont/Vogel roads in Butler Township. The road remained closed until about 4:30 p.m.
