Miller Minutes: ‘Bundle up, and finally beat cabin fever’
Butlerites are going to attempt to celebrate the cold as the weather warms up this weekend.
Two events worth noting will take place outside, and thank goodness for that! The Rotary’s Carved in Ice festival and Washington’s Cherry Pie Hike are both highly anticipated celebrations of winter. (I know it’s hard to imagine commemorating the tundra we just lived through, but I’m trying to be positive).
If you’ve never attended either, I’d say now is the year to do so!
Not only will you be treated to good food, riveting stories, and fresh air, but you will find yourself in good company. The hike and the festival are well attended by members of the community who care about where they live. Not only that, but they are family-friendly!
If you’re looking to try something new, both of these events could be up your alley. If they don’t jive with your schedule, take a look at the offerings below.
