Eckenrode

Kevin Thomas Eckenrode, 58, of Butler, passed away at his residence on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026.

Born April 6, 1967, in Ellwood City, he was a son of the late Thomas L. Eckenrode and Judith L. Ketterer Eckenrode.

He was a member of New Beginnings Free Methodist Church, Butler.

He loved baseball and football, and he was an avid fan of both Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed listening to music and taking care of his lawn and flowers. Most of all, he adored spending time with his grandchildren.

Kevin is survived by his daughter, Kayla Wise; two grandchildren, Levi Wise and Cora Wise; two sisters, Lori Ruda and Tami Eckenrode; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen M. Cousins Eckenrode, whom he married Sept. 9, 1988, and who passed away Oct. 21, 2024; and his brother, Keith Eckenrode.

ECKENRODE — Friends of Kevin Thomas Eckenrode, who died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

Services will immediately follow at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Matthew Perkins officiating.

Burial will take place in Butler County Memorial Park.
