Christopher J. “Chris” Bunyan, 15, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born Sept. 6, 2010, in Butler, he was the son of Daniel J. Bunyan and Samantha L. (Kyper) Clark.

Chris was in ninth grade in the Butler Area School District and a member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching sports with his dads, watching “Moana,” “Encanto” and “Cars” movies, listening to his Toniebox, watching the animals out of his bedroom window and music. More than anything in the world, Chris loved his dogs, Arnie, Taylor and Mackenzie. He was a true joy to all of those fortunate enough to know him and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Samantha L. Clark, and his stepfather, Brian Clark, his father, Daniel J. Bunyan, and his stepmother, Stephanie Bunyan; his stepsister, Olivia Darnell; his maternal grandmother, Sandra Kyper; his paternal grandmother, Joni Bunyan; his paternal stepgrandparents, Tom and Jeanne Clark; four aunts, five uncles and six cousins.

Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard Kyper; and his paternal grandfather, John Bunyan.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude toward all of Chris’ nurses with Bayada Pediatric Home Health Care for their years of excellent care.

BUNYAN — Friends and family of Christopher J. “Chris” Bunyan, who died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler, with the Rev. Kevin Fazio officiating. All guests are asked to please meet at the church.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider memorial contributions in Chris’ name to Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001, to help the family with their costs.
